    Crystal Mt. Roll Call

Anyone heading up to Crystal this weekend?

I will be there Sunday if anyone wants to make some turns.

There's a possiblity I could be sucked back into the Crystal vortex on Sunday if the freezing levels don't play nicely this weekend. All depends on the 5am snow reports on Sunday. I'm keeping options open from Baker to Xtal (though preferably alpy to use my pass!). jonesing for some of that white stuff!

Snow level is going to stay sub-4400 this weekend... sounds like I'll be seeing you at Crystal.

I may just have to do that Iggy, we'll see... this week is looking rather prosperous.

Sunday should be decent, especially up top.

Today: Snow. Snow accumulation 1 inch. Probability of measurable precipitation 100 percent. Southwest wind 13 mph. High 32.

Tonight: Snow. Snow accumulation 4 inches. Probability of measurable precipitation 100 percent. West wind 16 mph. Low 24.

Sunday: Snow showers. Snow accumulation 2 inches. Probability of measurable precipitation 60 percent. West wind 14 mph. High 25.

Once I drop Foob Jr off at his lessons I am a free man!

Crystal was pretty fun Friday. After getting drenched by rain in the base area, things were much better up top! Yeah, it was wet, but some surprisingly good snow in Snorting Elk Bowl. Southback and Northback were both closed, but chair six was running. It was entertaining watching your sluff turn into giant snow boulders as it made its way downhill! Anything lower than just above of the base of Rex was more or less unskiable it was so sticky. It was pretty much deserted, too. I did see crstlextrm working the Green Valley chair and was able to utilize the "change for a nickel?" line

I'm sort of broke at the moment [kicking myself for not getting a season pass!] but towards the end of the month I should be able to make some more turns- foobs, jumper, iggy - I definately want to hook up and ski with you guys again. And any other mags who are down!

Alpental was good today. Actually, really good. Snowed close to 10" up on Chair 2 - so wet powder was a pleasant surprise that they didn't really report. Bomb debris everywhere. Looks like Patrol had target practice!

Anyways- 6"-10" forecast tonight. Greydon & I are going to check on the reports early tomorrow morning and make a decision from there. If we're up at Xtal- we'll be in the Chinook lineup by 8am.

Girlski & Bomber are definites. Not sure if I'll be at Xtal- we'll see what the morning brings. Either way- should be a fantastic day!

yeah, that's because I've been in Germany and Portugal and Iraq and Greece and Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and Kuwait and...yeah.

it's kinda bullshit, I got the phone with the whole premise of having a phone that worked overseas (or in Germany at the very least, where I spend the most of my ground time), and the shit don't work. I got signal even in Mosul Iraq, but couldn't even send text messages out. WTF Cingular!!!

but it should work once I get back in the US...which should be...tomorrow afternoon, I think. We're supposed to go to Vegas for a night, and then back home tuesday er something.

It's a heck of a ways off still, but the forecast I saw on TV this morning calls for clearing next Sunday (and Sunday only). Snow all week with low freezing levels then a bluebird day next weekend? That wouldn't suck now, would it? Squirrel99 and whoever else get those camera batteries charged!!
