I know it's all about the fit, but im thinking some of the maggot knowledge could give me some boots to try on.
Me - 6'4, 175 or so, narrow foot, narrow calves
I live to huck, and would love a boot that would cut down on shinbang caused by backseat landings. 100flex or under i would say. Was thinking a boot with not much forward lean would be best for me and the shinbangin...
help me out if you have any suggestions....

ankle flexion, shell fit, width, toe lenght heel width etc also all play a part
mtnlion is right, but for a short list, I would look at the Lange' Freerides (the nicer models have nicer liners and the rivets can be removed to make them softer), Salomon ProModels, and Dalbello Kryptons to start.
The new Fischer MX9's are right up your alley... Pretty upright stance, medium flex, lower calf to engage the ankles more, shock-absorbing footbed... Like a Salomon Promodel, but better...

With a narrow foot, you should lean towards Rossi boots. They can pinch on the Achilles Tendon if your heel area is not too narrow though. Try the Elite Pro 1 or 2. Fischer and Atmoic also make some narrow boots, but I am not too familiar with their product lines.
With a narrow calf there may not be much you can do about chin bang. Get some booster straps.

Larry pimped my Garmonts and he even made my girlfriend's f'ed up feet happy in her ski boots. I say if he can do that, he can do anything.

He is one of the best bootfitters in the country and he started his own custom fiitting shop in boulder. He will hook you up. His shop is in the middle of spruce sandwiched between folsom and 28th, right next to the sports garage.
He will tell you more than you ever cared to know about your feet and lower leg shapes and why you need certain manufacturers products.

If you plan on doing any kind of bootpackin or skinnin for the goods go AT takes a while to get used to but less weight and vibram soles. Scarpa denali tt or Garmont adreniline.
I have the Salomon Pro Model and it works great for me. I have a very narrow foot and narrow calves. These boots are almost perfect for me. The Pro Model boots have nothing to do with plug boots. Have you ever even seen a plug boot? If you had, you'd know how silly your statement is.Quote:

This was my understanding. If I was incorrect in the statement the Pro Model is a Plug boot also that it is basically a detuned Racing boot then thank you for so delicately pointing that out to me. It’s always nice to learn something new; I was obviously misled as to what constitutes a plug boot? (Maybe) You spend allot more time around Skiing and skiing equipment so I would defer to you on such matters.
