35cm's and counting... Las Lenas received 35cm's with more snow in the forecast and Catedral is reporting a "great cover of white" from the base to the summit from 12May storm and cold temperatures/forecast on their website :biggrin:
Do you even have your plane ticket yet?
The latter is really impressive. The bottom of Catedral is basically like Heavenly, but worse. The base is at relatively low elevation next to a giant lake. Granted, last year was terrible, but the bottom half of the mountain was covered only a handful of days last year. Otherwise it was mostly dirt. This isn't a bad thing, since all the good skiing is up top anyway. But for them to have snow at the bottom this early is a very good sign.Quote:

Comish: I'm trying to find a job that lets me start Sep. 1 or later (soon to be college grad!). Anyways, if that happens I'll be travelling most of the summer thru SA and definitely looking to hit up the snowiest spots in August. Keep me updated...Quote:
