Anywho...
I've been out thrice this season since getting the OK from the ortho. Twice on the board and once on skis.
I was convinced there was some hidden torture device in my left snowboard boot that I just couldn't find that was pressing on my left ankle and making me whine like a teenage girl after a few hours of riding. I skied the third time out, only to discover that those boots also caused the whinage.
Turns out that one of the screw-heads in my ankle protrudes just enough to get pressed on by the boots. After a few hours of the pressing, I start the whining. It sucks.
I'm considering some ghetto fixes like a hunk of padding in my sock over the screw head or notching out that section of my boots.
Is there a better way to go?? The people I ski/ride with are tired of the whining and want answers, now.
