I have a very bad pussy(cat)

Today I was eating some chicken and the little shithead jumps up grabs a chunk. She proceeds to run away. I quickly grab her and go to take the chicken out of her little mouth. She proceeds to clamp down on the chicken and growl. I finally get the chicken out of her mouth. She's cranky for a few minutes and then goes back to ger normal sweetheart self.

I have never witnessed a cat that acted like this. Does anyone know how to break her of this horrid habit?

watergun should work. my cat does the same kinda (hiss, take swings at me) thing but never with food. i think they just get a bit riled up, but they tend to be pretty forgiving, pretty quickly. mine normally is back in my lap in under a minute...can't say that it's the same when i piss off my other pu$$y :D

My cat did that the first day I got her from the shelter. So I put some hot sauce on a piece of what I was eating, gave it to her off the plate and she's never considered touching my plate or what I'm eating again. Easy.

Throw it off the sundeck.I was eating dinner on the deck on High Street in Nelson & the cat hopped up on the table while I was getting a beer. When I returned to see her eating my dinner I tossed her off the deck about 40' off the ground. She didn't do that again.

Winner. Cats can be trained, it just requires a high level of disipline than most people are willing to inflict on a small cute fuzzy thing. Another example:

Had a friend who's cat kept jumping on the kitchen table. He finally got fed up and bitch-slapped the cat off the table and it flew. It flew completely through the kitchen and INTO THE FAMILY ROOM (approx 40 ft.). The cat's flight ended with a loud 'thunk' when the opposite wall got in the way, otherwise it would have easily cleared 100 ft.

Cat never got on the table again.

I can't believe you would resort to physical force to 'punish' a cat. Maybe a little swat, but throwing a cat off a 40' deck or across a room? That's just sick you fucks. Cats aren't impervious to injury, you know.

My cat used to jump on the table all the time. One time it put its head in my bowl of cheerios and started eating right out of the bowl. I picked up my baseball bat and swung as hard as I could. The cat hasnt eaten anything off the table since. Its actually so well behaved now that it doesnt eat anything or even use the cat box.
