An open letter to Joe Simpson

Dear Joe,

Last night you subjected your daughter to another public flogging before 70,000 college football fans. It's as if the Saturday Night Live fiasco wasn't enough.

Your daughter seems like a nice, funny, well adjusted teenager. But she sings like I do. After a weekend bender of bourbon, hookers and blow.

You both have made enough money off of this debacle to "laugh all the way to the bank." So cash the last checks and send Ashley to the high school guidance counselor to start checking out colleges.

Let the dream die. And thanks for your time.
