How smoove is "smooth downhill"? And what type of sled are you on now?
I've got it bad for the Blindside, but that TR is a sweet ride...smooth downhill = bottlerocket? I've ridden Diablo though and there is nothing smooth about it.
If going fast and is your your main goal the TR250 fits the bill. If you would like the bike to be a little nore flickable jumps and what not. The Blindside is the more versatile ride. Have ridden both before i bought Kidwoos Turner DHR. I was going to get the TR after riding both. It fit my riding style best. Hold on to the bars loosely and hope for the best. Then Kidwoo posted his frame for a lot less money.

any advice? was thinking about negotiating down on the bottlerocket or glory... does 1250 for the bottlerocket and 900 for the glory sound reasonable
i'd vote reign for the smooth dh. its basically new. maybe he takes 1500. great deal already. swap the stock bar adjust those spacers and your gold :)
Smooth DH = Bottlerocket or even a Double.
DH with chunky chunder and babyheads = TR250/TR450

Now, I realize you are not me and I am not you, but what would be your pick for riding Diablo occasionally, and the local trails that include technical singletrack, but require a climb to descend (Hartshorne)? I've narrowed my choices down to ...

Edit: Basically, what is holding me back from picking up the Bottlerocket is knowing that I would be passing up a full DH rig. Can the Glory even climb reasonably? It would have to climb a fire road.
Edit: Ignore. I have pretty much settled on the BR. I will give each a spin this weekend.
