an extra hour of skiing is never a bad thing
I got up today to ski teton pass w/ a friend early this morning before he headed back to Colorado. I would have completely forgotten about the falling back but as we were sitting in the summit parking lot waiting a suspiciously long time for the sun to come up, he reminded me that our early start was, really, a very early start.
I must say, I, for one, would much rather ski pow than sleep. We got three runs in - most of which involved knee to waist deep snow billowing at or above head-level. I think I set a personal record this morning with a full 4-5 seconds of powder induced "snow-blindness". Needless to say, tonight I will sleep well.
