I was wondering if anyone knew about getting health insurance for those without.
Aly doesn't have a plan for pro patrol? If they do, call and see if you can pay to get on it until the season starts.
I know that a lot of insurance companies have ceased writing individual policies but you may be able to pick up insurance through school or another organization you belong too.
I highly recommend you try to find some. Get on the net and and start looking around - perhaps Aflac is a good place to start.

Check local medical teaching schools. They sometimes have HMO's, and for a young person costs can run around $80 a month.
Also look into high deductible policies (catastrophic insurance where premiums are usually less than $50 a month for a young adult - this is how insurance is supposed to work).

There should be no individual policies for the hoi polloi. These damaged wads of incestuous funkestry do nothing but impinge on the profits of the insurance corporations.
There's a a plan out there called Ski Med- I think it's through John Alden Insurance. It's a short-term plan that is fairly inexpensive-- but it provides coverage only for accidents. No doc visits if you get the flu, but if you have coverage if you blow a knee. Might be worth checking into.
