    Question Health Insurance

I was wondering if anyone knew about getting health insurance for those without.

Aly doesn't have a plan for pro patrol? If they do, call and see if you can pay to get on it until the season starts.

I know that a lot of insurance companies have ceased writing individual policies but you may be able to pick up insurance through school or another organization you belong too.

I highly recommend you try to find some. Get on the net and and start looking around - perhaps Aflac is a good place to start.

Check local medical teaching schools. They sometimes have HMO's, and for a young person costs can run around $80 a month.

Also look into high deductible policies (catastrophic insurance where premiums are usually less than $50 a month for a young adult - this is how insurance is supposed to work).

    You can research thoroughly online:

There should be no individual policies for the hoi polloi. These damaged wads of incestuous funkestry do nothing but impinge on the profits of the insurance corporations.

There's a a plan out there called Ski Med- I think it's through John Alden Insurance. It's a short-term plan that is fairly inexpensive-- but it provides coverage only for accidents. No doc visits if you get the flu, but if you have coverage if you blow a knee. Might be worth checking into.
