I'm going to freewheel one of the cogs on the middle BB so that when I run the motor I don't have my pedals spinning. The motor has a freewheeling sprocket on it so that when I pedal I don't turn the motor with my pedal power. I'm mounting a 1000W 36V DC permanent magnet motor one the bike, I've got 3 x 12v sealed lead acid batteries with a total of 12 amp hours storage. SLA batteries output droops as they discharge so It'll go like hell at first then just go as the batteries discharge. After I prove to myself that it works I'm going spend $300 or so and put NiMH batteries on it, their discharge curve is much flatter than SLA.
