Poll with options: CO 'mini'

Maybe the interest in doing a 'mini' in CO has waned because at this point, there's so many people who know each other from this site that every weekend in the spring at LL and A-B are essentially 'minis.'

in the past, it seems like everyone has had good time regardless of the timing. so, here's a real poll with the early and late options.

I'm going to go go ahead and vote for the May 10 date. no conflicts with other already organized and sure-to-be-fun dates. a few folks are worried about terrain being open but something tells me that there's plenty of good terrain nearby for those who don't care to partake in the inbounds fun.

actually, I forgot to make the votes public, there's some people afraid that all the jealous Utards, along with aliases and trolls, are going to mess with the poll just to spite the people who really want to go.

February 2008 is a stellar choice. PMGear is working hard on constructing a time machine for this event. What this poll is asking is "what date should we all meet so we can travel back to february for the mini?"

It should be real nice and warm for camping by then, and I will be away 4/26 and CU graduation weekend is 5/10.

On a completely selfish note, I can't vote for anything past the first week in May due to knee surgery. So screw everyone who votes for May 10th or later.

This mini used to be one of the highlights of the year. :nonono2: Well, nothing can beat the '05' mini anyway.

definitely bringing a jacket this year. last year was a shorts and long sleeve day - which was friggen great right up to the rain/sleet.

or maybe now that you routinely see a dozen or more folks getting together anytime someone puts up a "who wants to have a beer in summit county" thread, a mini isn't so necessary to get a good group of folks together. especially when they all seem to end up at the basin every spring weekend, anyway.

I'll be at Abasin May 10th and 11th.

I guess I will refrain from voting since I can probably do any of the dates. Personal preference I guess would be towards later in the year, so that it is warmer and better for camping. It's usually not much of a ski day for me, I don't like to have more than about one drink and ski. For some reason I seem to start drinking at about 9am on the day of the mini...

Now, that I am gimped and probably getting surgery the wedding I am supposed to go to might not happen. If thats the case I will nominate myself to keep and eye on the Maggot Tavren (it must be spelled tavren) while everyone else skis.

Well, coordinating a freaking date would be a start!

I'd be up for the 26th. Was thinking about parking at the beach early, then climbing/skiing something nearby before the activites commence.
