this is actually in this months issue of surfer.
Garret said that his tow partner, Koby Abberton was too close to the lip on toe in. causing the wave to spray extra and it hit him. He said that it wasn't Raimana's fault, he was screwed from the beginning. after he got hit the first time the tube started to suck back air and ate him.
I mean, Raimana barely got out of there (if at all) so Garret didn't stand much chance anyways.
The premature breakage of that section, aka early spray, is what I was referring to regarding jet/tow in crew and lines up. Good stuff Tate. I could tell there's a hands' off Raimana "policy" over there ;) Yup, owns it.
