I just bought a BD one. I like it.
Setting aside the debate about length, my current favorite is (having owned many different models, although admittedly not the latest BD or G3 models) the BCA Carbon 260:

I'm a big fan of the Black Diamond Guide 300 Probe - 300cm with 1cm marking gradations. Not the lightest, but durable and multi-functional.
BCA Carbon 260. You can throw it out and lock it in about a second, and it has 1cm markings
I've just bought the bd 320cm quick connect, yet seam to be more impresed with the all canadian G3 probes Nice's and solid. The BD's good though..

G3 320 Professional for deep snowpacks and/or those interested in full pit profiles. Recommended by a Utah Avalanche Center forecaster.

It's only 2.25m but I was able to go from pinpoint with the beacon to a direct strike with the probe receiver in seconds.
All we need now is pocket sized foldable excavator.
