Judging from the above jet stream map and the NOAA infared it looks (to me anyway) that this warm system coming up from the Gulf Of Mexico is just missing NW Montana and heading into eastern canada/US. It looks to me like that is causing the colder gulf of alaska sytems to get sucked in directly over us here in the PNW.

Looks like the forecasts have pushed the warming here from tommorow afternoon, to Monday now, maybe we'll get some goods out of this after all...

theyre predicting rain/snow mix here for mon-wed. snowline should be approx. 4500, so the mountains should do well. looks like we'll be back to the typical rain/ice shit thats common in the valley in the winter.
Snowing here and its damn cold out. NOAA is saying the warmest temp that Whitefish should see is 34 here in town so the Big will be just fine. I think this will turn out to be a good snowfall and get our base ready for opening on Saturday.

The Rossland Range is a bit thinner, and not quite ready to go. It's puking nice blower outside right now.
