Huh, never heard of EXT suspension. But I'm about to buy my first Canfield next week, a Balance. I'm also glad it's not carbon.
Nice, thats a sweet rig. Can't necessarily say Canfield are the best bikes out there but damn theyre good and mine work really well for me. The CBF suspension design is among the best for sure. You buying the bike from Canfield? Looks like they're on sale for pretty decent prices.EXT is an italian company thatve been around in the Moto and Rally world for a long time, brought their MTB line to the states about five years ago. Pricey but nice and bomber and their US distributor and service center is Suspension Syndicate here in SLC. Regardless of brand, they're the best option for servicing your suspension bits.

EXT stuff is just so, so droolworthy. Got to check out a brand new triple crown and rear coil, the real coil shock felt as light as a Fox X2 air.

Yes from Canfield for a good price. I got a rear CC Kitsuma coil because I had one years ago and liked it. With EXT, rock shox, and Ohlins as coil options I just got what I know - too many choices, too much googlering! And i'm not that good so the CC will work.Only time I used suspension syndicate was for that old Kitsuma then I promptly sold it, but they seem nice and I'll be back.
Yeah, loving the EXT bits. The coil Storia is comparable in weight to my last Float X2 and performs better. It did take them, and me, a while to dial in the fork. It's comparable in weight to the bigger 38mm forks but by all accounts the chassis is as stiff and it just feels so good now.Muted that Kitsuma will be sweet no doubt. Congrats on the new whip!

Speaking of Canfield, I just met a guy who built up a Vampire Fastassora with the new CF3 suspension. Looks sick. May not be something I want to pedal uphill too much, but I bet it rips on the downs. https://www.vampire.bike/
Pinkbike says Revel bikes is back. Original owner bought it from the PE firm he had sold it to.
Speaking of the other Canfield, I bet Lance is breathing a sigh of relief right now. (Revel is the biggest licensee of the Canfield platform)

Baby bear we have two Tilts in the garage and love them. Climbs like a goat and punches well above it;s weight on the down. Be aware it;s not the lightest but who cares?Rideit I could be wrong but I think the Revel license is all Chris? Either way good news for them and the brand.

I’m beginning to think these PE firms really don’t understand what they’re buying alot of the time.Originally Posted by Andeh;[emoji[emoji6[emoji640

PE firms do nothing except strip assets and sell the carcus. They’re capitalist cancers
Isn't that story pretty similar to what happened with Kona? Pe firm buys them out for a bunch of money, original owners take a few years off to go play with their monies, then PE firm decides to sell it back to them for pennies on the dollar when they realize the bike industry isn't that easy. Either way, glad to hear Revel isn't gonna die. We need more US made bike brands.
I was at their shop this week all seems good just like every other time I'm there it's quiet
they just came out with a new frame/pivot design
direct to consumer I guess makes them able to play all these discount games
bought a mayhem 150 back in february to add to my fleet

Yeah kinda sounds like the dream. PE firm pays dude XX Million. He gets to surf and heli bike and do cool rich dude shit for a few years. He then gets to buy the company back for cheap after they spent a butt load of money on tooling, molds, etc that is worth nothing to them anymore.

I was able to negotiate a nice discount on the Spot I just bought just by asking on the webiste chat widget (although it was within the range of recent sale prices) and it made it through their build queue pretty fast.
Not sure if that's a good or a bad sign, but they seem to be chugging along.
I think the issue Beater had was he spelled quote wrong
