Fun day on the SE116, think I prefer a touch of camber for an inbounds charger. While the subtle reverse is super loose, I find the jostling around a bit unpredictable and as such the pilot has to be super engaged to stay on them. Also the lack of suspension as pow gets set up is noticeable. You’re taking those hits right at the boot.

Still makes skiing really fun, little 180s off side hits to switch. Pivot around slarve the tails off the cat track and throw a wall of spray.

    Skiing is fun!

    Pics are MrsSL from today.

I felt the same thing on Thursday, switched to my (albeit somewhat softer and significantly more damp) 182 Mpro 108s in the afternoon and they had noticeable improvement in suspension. The SE116 felt amazing in the pow but the rocking horse/bucking bronco effect was real on chopped up groomers.

Guess I’ll need to order some rc116

ZF’s killed it today at Silver with eight inches of race pow over most of the mountain with much deeper pockets in the normal pockety places.
    Some people are stubborn. Lol.

Waxing my C132s and my daughter Ember was very excited about your choice for the top sheets. Grabbed a quick video hahaha.

Too cute. Yesterday with my 12yo on the lift— “Those skis are so cool. I want a pair when I get older.”

Bringing Back The Best: Lotii And Other Assorted Love Songs

As a renegade aficionado I’m really looking to hear some reviews on the ultra tapper one twenty two. That slippery yet destroy feeling of the ren in a light weight ski is very intriguing. Currently i use the faction mega to achieve that, but I have no doubt that MO’s construction is superior. Currently sitting on fl one thirteens and r one tens that need to be mounted but they’re too pretty to break out in the low tide conditions.

Bringing Back The Best: Lotii And Other Assorted Love Songs

Altacoup-- please don't request feedback from the UT One Twenty Two. I can't handle it.

My one complaint (limit) to my Ren is the reflect-tech at high speeds— the 35m radius is too tight. So at Mach-looney in dense March pow it wants to turn more than I do. MO said he aimed to reduce that by lowering the rocker radius out closer to 70.

My wife really can’t afford to hear me talk about how my Ren is in need of being replaced. Ie— few CMs longer and a flatter profile plus an HL build.

Also—I don't blame you for not wanting to break out your R One Tens. But I have 7 days on my R One Tens and I can confirm, they are a less-deep Ren. They are tighter, damper, quieter, turnier, and a more suspension-y Ren.

You know when you finish your fresh line and then have to deal with the aftermath of everyone else and your HALS Ren feels like a huge plank of plywood? These mute all of that.

Being a JP skier, both have their place in my life. But I'd go so far as to say my R OneTen is 95% of the pow ski that my Ren is. The main difference being in the forest where trees dictate when you have to turn. The Rens are just a tad more negotiable. I suspect the UTOneTwentyTwo is the slot between the two— SuperG of the forests..

I could easily own this ROneTen for the rest of my life. It's that good.

Would I wish I had something more during a 4%, 50cm blizzard? Definitely.
Would I wish I had something more during a bluebird, firm, arcing cord session? Definitely.

But put those two extremes aside, and how often you ski those extremes and there you have the reality. The ROneTen is the shit.

And the UTOneTwentyTwo is likely the Ren quiver-spot killer.

Hopped back on the ZF’s last Saturday since we got ten inches of race pow and nice vis. Did a little more detune to areas that I wanted more loose.
Grabbed first chair, talking to the other two we all had the same game plan. Head to a run called Rendezvous. Tucked from the unload down the groomer to the entry, hit the entry at mach chicken and put giant drifty turns down the entire run. Probably the fastest ive skied that pitch. Never saw the other guys.
Next run dropped into a pitch called eureka trees, tight’ish trees with decent size bumps and open halls and spots for slashing and dumping speed. So fun, just stay centered and pivot slash my way through, pop off that bump to a open spot, dump speed then gas pedal to another opening. Got bucked back on the tails from a bump and woo boi did I go for a quick ride. The tails allowed me to get back to where I needed to be but man I won’t do that again, until I do. Lol!
Just standing on these bad chickens through chop is a pure joy. Noodleing around tight trees is super easy as well. Another mag said his are like his Mfree108 and Super goat banged. I could see that.
They flat crush fall line yet can get playful as well.
The doodes getting the RC’s will be super stoked as they will trend more playful yet still crush vert.

Skied the SE and my ASYM BG. Couldn’t be more stoked for that RC as I think it will provide the best of both worlds.

    Twelve to fifteen overnight.

Finally got the SE into proper steep trees!! Stupid fun day. The ski is so nimble yet has backbone when you want to arc a turn.

    Can’t wait for the RC!

I have the 184 Ren (my 3rd pair that I’ve only skied 1x since I’ve got into HL skis) with Duke PT’s but have ordered the 183 HL UT122.

Was gonna put ATK Freeraiders on the UT122’s but I think I’m gonna wanna ski them inbounds too.
