*Sigh* No longer Meridian, maybe someday…

New top sheet looks awesome, hope they pull off a Christmas miracle and can make the one-ninety-three dream machine a reality

the ski really doesn’t need a 193. With the minimal tip and tail rocker it skis long for its length. If you really want a 193 get the banana.

What are you going on about? The Meridian is all rocker….

YOU may not need a longer length, but my clydesdale size human would surely appreciate it.

The Banana is not a Meridian, adding that much to the waist would be counterproductive on the ice coast

Interesting statement from a person who owns, and skis, a blade.

(Look, I'm sorry. I'm basically sober now and trying to layoff my sarcasm, but come on...)

A couple of pages back you all were actually calling Moment Stockli-esque in pricing and giving shit to their durability... then you have Blade owners telling clydesdales they don't need longer lengths?

Cue the cleanup crew... the Moment thread has gone to shit.

like I said because it has minimal tip and tail rocker they ski longer. The 187 a good choice for larger people. Here’s my 184 dw next to the 181 meridian. The 187 is basically as long as the 190 skis which seem to work just fine for clydesdales size people.

Yet there is a 196 kitty…. So why would you tell people they don’t need a 193?

I have a pair and I feel like I should have another pair just in case. It does everything except stick uphill ice

I’d like 193 Meridians, but I have not skied the 187s. I’d probably be fine on the 187s. Skiing the 190 Wildcat 108s as I type this.

So much Meridian 193 debate. Love it.

A couple of things to consider, the Meridian has a longer effective edge than any other ski we make but at the same time it does have a progressive mount and has a mellow full rocker.

Would a 193 be cool? Yes
Have we considered making it? Yes
Would this length be the worst seller? Yes
Will we make is someday? Maybe

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

as pointed out already different profiles. Cats ski shorter than meridians. Cats have far more tip and tail rise compared to meridians. Cats have a shorter effective edge compared to meridians. There just isn’t the need or demand for a 193 meridian like there is the 196 cats. Seems like most people asking for a 193 have never even skied the 187. The 187 Meridian has a longer effective edge than the 190cat and the 193 banana. The 187 is a lot of ski performance wise and I think people underestimate that and just say “I want a longer ski”

I love them. Out of my whole moment quiver of 8 skis now they’re my absolute favorite. Super playful. Pivot on a dime, total blast in tight places and trees. Plenty of back bone and blasts through crud and chop. They’re one of my cold dead hand skis along with my dw104 and gt 194. Id be happy skiing them in 98% of conditions. Just absolutely don’t want them on icy days. They hate really firm icy conditions. Firm snow is all good but anything icy they turn into ice skates and just go all over the place and give you those clench your butthole and pray for the best moments. If you live somewhere that you never deal with iced over days they could easily be a one ski quiver.

Well someone is asking for a 193... You do realize skis are a sum of all parts right? I understand that a kitty may have more rise but it also has camber and a lot of it. With that the Meridians ski shorter.

But since your opinion is apparently moment gospel us as the TGR collective will yield to you on all things moment....

people ask for a lot of things. Doesn’t mean it’s necessarily needed. Like I said only the 196 cat has a longer effective edge than the meridian 187, you’re also talking about a 118 width ski designed for powder to a 107. The 190 cat and 193 banana have shorter effective edges than the 187 Meridian. Like mele said, They’ve done it. Just doesn’t seem to be needed or else they’d be producing it. Maybe if enough people request it that could happen, but evidently that isn’t the case currently.

It for sure would be the worst selling length, but how rad would it be to have one of the very few XXXL Meridians in existence?

What if a get a Moment tramp stamp to prove my loyalty? Been wanting to scratch this itch for years and I’m willing to make things interesting at this point.

I love this ski, it’s been my all time favorite for close to a decade now, but I’ve always yearned for a little bit more length for when things get extra spicy.

Yes. Yes they are. I have close to 200 days on mine over the last 3 years. I put CAST on them and pretty much turned them into a one ski quiver.

You fuckers are killing me. I'm all set to buy DW tours and then you go and talk about how great the WC108's are.

I have a few more days to make up my mind, but I'm confident I'll be happy either way.
