Idk, I like the abbreviations, sounds more scientific than “slash edition”, it is heritage LABS after all

eSock, if I am thinking of the right email conversation, then given your love of the 194 Devestators, I'd really stick with the 193 FR120
Certain vehicle brands have been using a similar approach for a long time, and people get it. Especially people who nerd out about those car and motorcycle brands that use similar naming conventions. I personally find the current naming approach confusing, and something like what TAFKALVS describes is more descriptive to me.
For example https://www.bmw.com/en/automotive-li...ng-system.html
To each their own. I have purchased many HL skis with the current descriptions and have had no issues trying to find a ski for a said condition. There is now a history here with these skis being offered for the last 3 years. It would be difficult for ME to relearn all the names
The only issue I have with the naming is that there tend to be a bunch of skis discussed in here that aren't on the website. ZF and SE 116's being recent examples, but there have been a couple other times where there's something discussed in here that I've unsuccessfully went to the website to look for.
But yeah, the naming scheme described upthread is basically what Maxxis does with their tires (tread shape, width, casing, compound, all of which can be mixed and matched in assorted combinations). While it's logical, the #1 complaint about maxxis is that their naming scheme is too complicated.

No FL116 comparisons to a Bibby/wildcat? I've got way more time on bibby's than goats but used them with some overlap
I think the challenge as a new company is you are making it up as you go! Maybe HL is more thought out/sorted, but most startups are throwing spaghetti at a wall and seeing what sticks/pays out.
While the naming scheme LVS proposed makes a whole hell of a lot of sense is that what MO wants to build towards? Sure a massive/mature company like Maxxis can do that with 150+ SKUs.
Does a small boutique ski brand want to keep track of that inventory?
Folsom and other brands have gone full custom but hot damn have you seen their prices?
Anywho here for the stoke and to ski the shapes that make most sense for me related to where I ski… *edit* why the fuck do I have a 200cm c132?!? Right, for the heli trips I don’t take.
Carry on.

I only have 1 day on the SE in (relatively dry for PNW) snow but can give some early thoughts.
I had a 2021 BG 118 in 192 and a 2022 BG 118 in 187.
The BG felt like it floated slightly better and was a little better at smashing through crud. The SE was significantly more playful and easier to pivot and turn in deeper snow. (It’s worth noting I have the SE mounted slightly forward (-9.5))
I haven’t had the SE in hot pow, but it did have a bit of a similar feel to the FR110 which is the best hot pow ski I’ve used. The SE was also enjoyable on groomed runs where the BG is miserable.
RC is ZF, yes?
The RC11[emoji642] is going to be such a good ski! Graphics are sweet!

Dammit to hell and back again - this is getting rediculous
Good thing the RC116 is not offered in 184. I would probably have had to order that ski having sold my pre-asym BGs today. The RC116 looks amazing - specs and graphics alike.
Marshal - any plans to change the not so awesome graphic for the BC110s for the spring run?![]()
bombs away
Bloody hell, looks gooooooood. If I had the funds I'd be in for at least 3 pairs...fack!
Have the C132 - considering swapping for the UT122... Has anyone been on both and can compare?
RC116 looks awesome - might have to grab some of those too.
And maybe a BC100 for spring touring....
Man, I should setup a Shop Pay direct to MO...
sproing!
