Shiloh Sanders seems like a real piece of work. I've watched 3 Buffs games in the past year (counting tonight) and he's had late hits or dumb sportsman type shit like that in all three, with all of them costing the buffs (and his kidney against Oregon) dearly.

I like the Buffs but I just don't love the collective Sanders effect. Sorry, not sorry.

NDSU is always a good team. 9-4 against FBS. Buffs made it close with dumb penalties on 3rd down, clock management etc. Gonna lose a few they shouldn't until (if?) they figure that out. Also gonna win a few they shouldn't cuz #2 and Hunter. Not as good as it could be given the talent, but still world's better than what I've watched for 20yrs.

Utes won their opener and also honored Patrick Mahomes' John the Baptist:

You gotta take the good with the bad?? I'm glad we won but it didn't inspire a lot of confidence.

It will be interesting to see how this season plays out and what that does for next year. If we shit the bed again this year and he goes and gets a whole new team again through the transfer portal than my faith in Prime may start to waiver. Beyond my sentimental objections to the new transfer rules, going out and getting a whole new team each year because the previous season sucked doesn't seem like the best strategy, and doesn't do much for team play and cohesion. Those intangibles still make a difference with kids at this age and experience level, and as much fun as Prime is I don't think he can pull together a whole new group of rando transfers every year just by the force of his personality.

From your mouth to God’s ears!

It was nice to be back in the stadium, even if it was against a JV squad.

This x10. Would love to watch CU just control a game start to finish, but we'll take the win.
And Hunter is off the charts. Shedeur can really just fire into his general direction and 90%+ chance he's bringing it in. That 3rd TD was ridiculous. The dude was getting leveled and the ball was behind him.

Just watched the last 10 min and was hoping NDSU would pull it off. I love it when FCS win or give FBS a tough game. And agree Hunter is crazy good.

Go Griz! And hopefully Bison are on the other side of the playoff bracket...they are going to be good this year.

He is one of those guys that i just do not see the outlandish talent in, and i dont know why. He just doesnt look physically dominant... and yet he makes play after play, and ridiculous athletic move after ridiculous athletic move. Its weird that my eyes dont agree with the reality. He's like Devonta Smith, but also plays defense... which is ridiculous. Hopefully he can stay healthy this year and put together a long highlight reel. Im rooting for him.

As a CU fan, I'm simultaneously glad CU is better and has some legit talent but also think that the things I dislike the most about modern college football (NIL $, transfers) are pretty much epitomized with the current Buffs.

Unlimited transfers suck. Its probably more fair for the kids because they only have a few years to play and should be able to find opportunity wherever they can... but it sucks to not be able to see continuity. That was one of the coolest things about CFB for me was watching the development of players, and seeing how long term chemistry on a team added to their success.

Why does NIL bug you? Its really not any different from what was going on before with the big schools still having the same advantages. The kids are just getting paid close to their worth now.

And that's just the coaches. The players get the prime spots for their Lambos right next to the stadium.

For those not following, I'm pretty sure that's not actually UT.

Feels like the majority of college football fans still don't have a good of an understanding of how NIL works (myself included).

In CU's case, for as much hype and exposure as they've gotten since Deion showed up, their NIL collective is...unimpressive. They were late to the game and don't have the booster base to build something comparable to true blue bloods.

Unlimited transfers, and the conference realignment death spiral are much higher on the list of college athletics bummers IMO.
