Got in the ship, buckled in, then got word on the radio that the zone with light had shut down. Back inside, boots off, hung out for an hour, then got word it was back on.
Back in the ship, fly around for 40 minutes, but every LZ in the sun is too windy to land. Got dropped off on the way back and did a glacier/meadow skip run almost down to sea level.
None of the reports coming in had said anything about the wind, so in an extremely gracious move Pulseline didn't charge us any flight hours. I can think of way worse ways to spend an afternoon than a free scenic heli ride and a cruiser run down a glacier with a view of Prince William Sound. Just another day trying to go heli skiing in Alaska.
