Skiing is a break from the rest of the world. The last thing I need skiing is my phone going off with campaign calls and texts. So yeah, if I was on the hill and had to reload a ski pass I guess I would have to do it in line. Also, I'm not one of those gen whatevers who things every run they do is camera worthy, and I'm certainly not skiing around videoing myself with a selfie stick.

    OK boomer.
Now that's original. Jokes about boomers and tech are right up there with snowboarder jokes from skiers as products of weak minds. In fact, the problem with boomers is the same as the problem with everybody else--too much tech. (And too many boomers think they can snowboard but that's another story.) And if you're older than 78 you're not a boomer. (Trump barely but not Biden).

It;s worth noting that while the boomers you encounter at ski areas may seem entitled, that's pretty much the case with everyone you encounter at a ski area. The fact of the matter is that most boomers are seriously fucked in their retirement, as the following generations will be or worse.

Millennials post on Alpine Zone? I doubt it.
    Newschoolers maybe.
I’d love to see their post about why they shouldn’t have to fill up a chair on a crowded day, without using the word “entitled” or a synonym

I am gen x, well-versed in bridging the gap between the boomer generation and the one after me who always has to have a screen in view. I just speak from experience with my own old man and his pals. And I really only take photos for this goddamn place - no insta, facebook, or whatever else the kids use these days. I do ski with my phone and helmet bluetooth chips though because when my boomer friends call me to ask me how to reload their passes I like to help.

But why wouldn't you just reload your ticket online at home the day before?

Yep - got my 1st along with a TDAP, and the 2nd I combined with a flu shot. No worries.

Those COVID boosters, though... goddammit. They always lay me low for at least 24 hours.

This is the same guy that when they finally bring their hand destroyed skis in for a tune up then claims they are "railed" the first time they ski them.
    No, they're just sharp sir.

    Dude.
My 2nd was fever and chills with apocalyptic headache that hurt so bad I threw up in the shower - which was the only place I didn't feel I wanted to die. 6-8 hours of intense misery. A day or two after of comparatively minor misery.
And I thought that was bad.
The 3rd was more of the same, but probably worse. And 20+ hours this time. (The bivalent vax.) But I also got smart and gummies help. You still feel like shit, but you care less.

The last round a few weeks ago was better. Still felt pretty bad for a full 24H, and then just shitty the next day, and finally one day of feeling wrung out - but again gummies to the rescue.
(But the big upside, at least the way I choose to look at it; The rest of the fam gets covid about 10D later. I skipped. So, I feel about even now.)

[I know this isn't the shit that annoys you thread - my bad.]
