Boosh, Sounds like a nice pillow of snow above the base, all goes to waste this weekend. Here's to hope the Jet change occurs.

No one: ski racing isn't dangerous enough
    Cowboys: let's add horses
    Motorcyclists: hold our beers

Some of the racers I coached competed in the Red Lodge event (with horses, not motorcycles). Freaking nuts, mostly in a good way; I think one of them actually ended up making/winning some money from his efforts. I wanted to give it a shot, but I didn't know any horse people well enough to find a tow plus I have a healthy respect for how much slower my body heals than it used to.

Slow pitch for something about your mother's notch, but I'm not going there.

Go back to 79-80. I think the total snowfall at BTV that year was something like 35". Worst winter I can remember. Cold AF but not much snowmaking back then. Had a pass at Smuggs and only went a coupla times because it sucked so bad. But using that metric, the average snow depth may have been higher because nothing that did fall melted.

Personally I’m rooting for this. As a weather geek, it’s completely conceivable given the pattern flip. Certainly been very similar so far.

Add in clear skies, high 20s, and zero wind. Win - Win - Win.

That March was spectacular, best in the 17 winters I've been in VT. Refreshers almost daily and every 3rd-4th day 12" or more. Pattern change looks promising for the last half of Feb. Headed south 2/29 for a week so guaranteed a 2ft+ week, you can book it.
