Dang, I would be honored to lovingly fondle them... but I moved back to Montana. No snow here, fatties are languishing.

Yeah, I have 335mm BSL so we figured we can get more folks on them if we can start with demos. Let's make sure to connect so you can give them a shot, too.

These ought to look pretty good on the FR120s.

I'm eyeing that 120ST in the BC layup... And trying to decide what binding I'd put on it. Maybe a trab vario... Or some combo of a trab toe and race heel on an adjustment plate. Or a steel radical toe + similar heel/plate.

Cast is tempting, but I'm just not that in to skis-off transitions, and I have other skis for in-bounds.

Anyone else noodling on this and have thoughts?

Man I love those ones. I wish we could get them easier at a better price.

I have been debating the same thing. Leaning brakeless Freeraider, but Trab Vario or even some sort of race binding is a consideration too. Realistically this ski will see a lot of short to medium tours with yo yo laps, occasional small to medium hits, some sled laps and rarely fast open alpine skiing. We just don't get to jump into big avalanche terrain when conditions are right for a 120 underfoot ski in SW CO.

here is my setup - steel radical toe + race heel on adj track

i may add a heel spacer too, but want to ski it first without

    Swallowtail email, good stuff!

On the skin clips, have you tried a race-style tip bungee on the tail?

Mind blown. Great idea. I have a colltex tip set here to play with. The cutout is 2cm, so it would just need a 1/2” or 3cm-ish washer

i will play with 3-d printings a Trab style style clip too

🤘 Excellent. My boots are way smaller than phatty's I was afraid I would only get to look.

The cord for skins seems like a good idea.

I came across this thread while looking to see how long ago the tabla rasas came out. Thought it might be worth sharing here. https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...kis-Tabla-Rasa

Hilarious to read someone try to describe rocker before rocker was a thing.
"The tip is rather tall compared to most of today's "pro-tips" and it starts further back on the ski (the tip is longer, if that makes any sense...)"

Skis were way cooler in the 2000s than they are now. Everything has become so refined and average. Look at DPS… the Lotus line up is the exact same ski as a dynastar or a Rossi or a K2.

Thanks HL for keeping some wild shapes in the line-up. C132, SW120…
