Off topic but does anyone have a recommendation for transmission shops in the area, I limped into town & blew my tranny in the line for BCC this morning (maybe you saw me, black Chevy with 4wheelcamper) ♂️ got a google list of transmission shops to call in the morning but any local advice would be welcome. Thanks

BobMc has an auto shop. Not sure if he deals with transmissions, but he could probably steer you into the right place if not.

I've had fair service from this shop in Holladay, they have an A+ BBB rating and many good reviews. 4736 Holladay Blvd. 801-278-7611 Good luck, no fun losing your transmission on a trip.

I send all our transmission work to J&G in Murray, they do good work at fair prices.

Odds of the road opening before 11 tomorrow? Unless it just eluded measurement, storm seems to have came in under for today. Trying to decide if I'm gonna line up or stay up to the witching hour of 11 and just hit Woodward again.

Speaking of Woodward, it was puking up there all afternoon. Snow was drifting up to the tops of the rails. The wind affected snow was still fast enough for the medium line though and got to practice jumping and holding speed in non pristine pow day conditions, which is the endgame for me (going bigger off natural features at resorts)

Nordic is having a hell of a rough year. First the main lift is toast, now the barn lodge caught big fire. Resort is closed until further notice.

Went in to the office at Kimble Junction today, threw the skis in with the thought of getting a few lunch runs in.
    What a junk show!
DV is still closed at 10am and PC is mostly on wind hold.
Well, at least I didn't burn a vacation day to just get shut down....

We decided we weren’t gonna bother with Snowbird today. Likely no upper mountain for the day, road shitshow, crowds, and limited terrain, feels like a reasonable decision.

I thought I'd be smart and use my free DV pass today so I could ski the morning. Wrong.

all mountain groomer!!! Ski on the top 4 inches but poke your pole down and there's no bottom to be found. the kind of snow ya gotta love on high avalanche danger days because even a 10 degree slope is fast and surfy and fun.

Gad2 line photo is why I chose to play vidya games with wife and ride Woodward again. I was stressing what to do until like 830 last night though. Jealous of my friend who has tomorrow off, should be a good one.

Woodies provides endless stoke and entertainment. Believe it or not, this person did not stomp. They didn't get messed up either though
