A FR90 would be great for east coast packed trees. Doubt there’s enough buyers to justify though.

We received a while lot of snow the past 24 hours.

Had my first stroll out with the 90s, and while I didn't really challenge them that much, I'm pretty convinced they're great skis, though these are the ones with 132-like tip and tail rockers, and slight camber. 184s.

I thought I'd fucked up and mounted them at -13.5 or something similarly ridiculous, but turns out they're at -10.5. ATK FR14s, with spacers, sans brakes. Super nice.

Looking into a replacement for my beloved Kastle BMX105HP. Loved the damp feeling which jives well with my fall-line style of skiing.
Is the FL105 a viable replacement?

Yessir! Assuming you are coming from the 189 BMx, the 185cm FL105 is what you seek!

Sweet! Curious why the 185 suggestion and not the 192?

Great question, I should have elaborated!

The 189 BMX is more like 187cm in actuality and 185 FL105 has a comparable radius and effective edge length, where the 192cm has a good bit larger turn radius.

Yes. The 192 would actually be a lot closer to the slightly older BMX108@195, just two cm shorter.

    Lolz

I think the 187 should be first tho. It should tape measure as long as the 189 Praxis Rx that I loved (187 true length?)right??

Worried how much shorter it will ski with full rocker tho. I have always wanted a CCR Rx!

Loved old Hojis and full rocker Katanas. Skied 191 Mantra M4 full rocker almost daily the past 2 seasons, now on 191 Katana 108s and 190 Wildcat 108s. These seem right up my alley. 187 seems fun for bumps and trees and daily driving when we have snow?

Very excited to get these on snow!

Also, when did binding mounts become so expensive?? I finally gave up calling around and printed a paper jig for $0.43.

Also, some dorky stuff below. sorry, replacement scale didn’t arrive prior to mounting.

R ski measures 187.5cm straight pull tip to tail
L ski measures 187.4cm straight pull tip to tail

Both are pretty dead on 110mm wide at the narrowest point. Maybe 109mm or 109.5mm by my extremely unsophisticated measurements.

R ski is 2001g with alpinist 10 no brake
L ski is 1988g with alpinist 10 no brake.

Taking the above weights, averaging them and subtracting 270g for the marker alpinist 10 gets us to around 1724g per ski or about 3lb 13oz.
