VT has a chance?
Nope, that's why we jettisoned them a few hundred years ago and gave them to New England. It still kinda acts like the Eastern Upstate province though.
This fits for a story on Update NY:
Pet Wallaby On the Loose in Upstate New York:
https://www.newsbreak.com/sherman-ny...ounty-new-york
From the article, "A hobby farmer in Chautauqua County is searching for his pet wallaby, last seen hopping down the side of the road."
Depending upon the direction the wallaby is most likely either heading to the Seneca Casino for some res gas, weed, and a good time, or to the Chautauqua Institute for some deep introspection and world class speakers. Coin flip really.

Then my money is on the casino with a maybe a couple hops further to check out the new Yodeler Chair at HV.

that thing be hoppin’ right inta huntin’ season…
fact.
Now that sounds like a good time. Been a long while since I've wandered around E'ville in the autumn. My sister was up at a lake house on Chautauqua last weekend or the weekend before and it looked lovely as ever up there. Fall is probably my favorite time of year in the Great Lakes region.

As evil as the Rockefeller clan seems to be.
Their oysters are delicious.
Good point. The reservation is know for many things; cheap gas, cheap tabacco, and homemade jerky. Clams in any form are not one of these things.

will be embarking on a Tour De Upstate over the next few days. home to Rawchester tonight; going to a wedding tomorrow in upstate-adjacent St. Catherine's, ON; back to the US-of-A to hang in Buff for the Bills game on Sunday morning; back to the Roc Sunday night; then probably doin' some leaf peepin' north of Utica on our way back to New England on Monday. Excited to travel the entire length of I-90 in NY, should be a fun weekend.
