I saw a new M3 today. I didn't dislike it as much as when it came out. Maybe it becomes less awful over time.

I remember when Audi went to the (then throwback) large single grille and how offputting it was at the time (what, 15 years ago?). Now it fits just fine and is arguably the most conservative of the bunch. I agree that the M3 grille isn't as hated as it was 2 years ago, but that said, I still think its awful and it can be helped by the insertion of a bumperline trim piece or even God-forbid a license plate. What they've done with whatever the 7 series' face is and basically every [insert X car here] are just flat out abominations through and there's no arguing that.

Kudos to the seller for taking the showroom pics in front of a clearly abandoned shopping mall from the early 90s just to keep everything period-correct.
1993 low miles and rust free Wisconsin car? Unpossible.

Put me in the 'started as yikes! but really grew on me camp'. The euro license plate breaks up the beaver teeth nicely, however NA plates look really out of place no matter where you locate them. I find some of the other bodywork a little busy too. The i4 is basically the same shape, but with a smoother hood and sides for a more sleeper look that's actually grown on me as well.

Hey can I please get a Carfax on this VIN? Not sure if that's a thing still or not but it doesn't hurt to ask:

Also if anyone is selling a decent, inexpensive AWD car in the mountain west, DM me with what you got. Trying to find one for my partner.

It's like working on a pig farm. You eventually get used to the smell.

But then you leave the pig farm and everyone you see is like, damn, you reek.

So if you go to a pig farm before you get on a plane will you get both armrests?

It also needs some $$$ and I worry about keeping it on the road. It’s also not super practical for his hobbies - he likes to MTB and ski and fish.

My DD is a ‘13 allroad with 155k. I have the itch to upgrade, but have her in a good spot at the moment I think. With no other considerations, I’d trade it in and buy new next spring/summer. Probably an A6 allroad.

Also thinking about swapping cars with him, selling the eclipse, and putting that toward my new whip sooner than later.

    WWMD?
So, went ahead and picked up a new whip. Hope to take delivery in the next week or so. Bit of an impulse during a weak moment from bmills’ egging us all on in the wagon thread.

I think the answer is to turn off the ECU tune and let the kid drive the allroad, right? If I could get significant money out of it I might think different…. But the reality is it’s worth maybe 8? 9? The eclipse is probably worth almost that much.
    focus.

And sounds like if he keeps the eclipse you’re gonna have to sink more $ into it? I would lean allroad, could last him through college (if he can keep up with future repairs)

Although the eclipse will get him dancing women…

(And ignore that he used a Z in the skit)

Hell yeah! Glad I could play a minor part in a big life decision for ya

Insurance id have to assume is cheaper on the Allroad yeah? Also it sounds like a better lifestyle fit for him. Lastly, I know for a fact it will be way safer in a crash.

My bro in law had his 14 Allroad t-boned with my sister and mom inside, car spun a full 360 all airbags deployed, and not a scratch on any of em. Cops were blown away how solid it was.

I think in the last month Harris has driven the Tuthill 911, reviewed the Singer DLS Turbo and the new RUF.

Good work if you can get it.
