You know the difference between 400th and 5th. The girls i trained with who had senior cuts at 13 worked harder than everyone in any sport. There is a good reason anyone rises to top 8 at D1. Incredibly talented, almost super human ability to recover, and hard work.

I think the issue is complicated, and not sure what the best way to handle it is, but don’t think people who don’t believe trans-gendered people do or should exist are going to lead to a good solution.

About all I can say is the only American woman who could beat me in my best event when I was in college was Janet Evans and I was only swimming at the D1 level because I was on a mediocre team and I had a good GPA. I was a scrub who could score a few points here and there.

I'm amazed at how fast the fastest women swimmers are, but they'd still get trounced in head-to-head competition with the best men. I just can't see how it's fair for women to compete against someone who had previously competed collegiately as a male.
