Frameset will include headset bearings, spacers, and top cap, bolt etc.
BUT it’s a 1,1/4” fork steerer. So you will need a specific stem to fit on that steerer tube.
Lots of companies make them in that size now. Ritchey, Zipp, Pro to name a few big brands.
Kinda sucks that you can’t try 2 or 3 stem lengths that you have lying around in the parts bin.

I assume RockShox, because all the Fox service kits include new crush washers.
A 50qty pack of crush washers from RockSox retails for $11.00, or 0.22 each. I'd just ask the local shop for a few. If I had a bulk amount on hand I'd mail you some, but I have mostly a FOX family at home these days.

    Bikefit geometry question:

If I buy a steepish bike (66hta) that is a little too much reach (+20mm) but the right stack, then I overfork by 20mm and drop ht spacers, will I get a slacker bike with the rightish reach and stack?

Basically, what if I get a large Spur and overfork it to 130 or 140?

I like 460/620 reach/stack. Med Spur is 455/610 (40/20 stem/barrise) and the large is 480/619 (40/30 stem/barrise). I rode the medium and it was good, little short, large also felt OK but a little stretched. Having a 130 or 140 fork would be nice. If this isn't crazy talk would I go with less offset if I overfork?

Sounds like a 45 or 50 mm stem on the medium or a 32 or 35 on the large would get you really close. But I'd just caution that that bike should feel a little different unless you really want the same feel between that and the bike you ride in the park.

I had a 130 fork on my spur. It was alright, but I felt like the front end was a bit wandery and it suffered a bit on steep climbs. If I were gonna do it again, I'd probably stick with a 120 fork.

Also, on a bike like that, I think top tube length matters as much, if not more than reach in terms of how the bike fits. And while over forking will shorten your reach, it won't really shorten your effective top tube (because as the HT slackens, so does you ST). So if the bike feels long while seated, it's still gonna feel long after you over fork. You might be able to fix that with a short stem and a seat pushed forward on the rails, but that's the same regardless of the fork length.

    That's great to hear.
I've been a Bike subscriber since the beginning (I remember Farantino having hair) and was a subscriber to Beta. I still hate Outside for their buying spree being immediately followed by their closing spree.
Have they re-retained the writing staff?

    Fox actually.
I inexplicably managed to lose the larger damper side one from the kit somewhere on my garage floor and only have a stash of the small ones . Nonetheless reused the old one and not leaking so all good for now.

What I was told (only came onboard this spring) is that they reached out to the legacy staff when the title changed hands, and generally they'd moved on to more lucrative and stable positions. So it's more of a slow burn rebuild than a "Same people doing the exact same things right out the gate" like Beta was. But the goal is to end up in a similar place: excellent visuals and storytelling, high-end print product. The strategy is new, the goal is the same.

    .
Our 2020 ish model def has a normal 1 1/8" steerer. Current spec is the same, but they do mention a 1 1/4" lower headset. I think their current "Overdrive" is just what has become industry standard. The older "Overdrive 2" did have the stupid 1 1/4" upper and required special stems.

Giant is still using Oversized head tubes. For one of my clients I just built a 2022 LIV Langma, and a 2022 Revolt.
Both of them took a 1-1/4" stem. I had to special order some 1-1/4 spacer set for one of them, use a stock Giant stem, and a Zipp stem.

    The Langma:

Road Bike Action Review: 2022 GIANT REVOLT ADVANCED PRO 0:
"Giant still uses the oversized steerer, so if you want a different stem, remember it needs to be 1 1/4 inches, not 1 1/8 inches."

Not sure, but it looks to me like every one of their payment methods is final, with no purchaser recourse. Huge red flag.

Ok, so the sealant on a matte carbon frame question again.....Wd-40 I am seeing used online? I guess stans isn't really soluble in Iso Alcohol so that's why it doesn't really do anything?
