Cool fog highway pic. I would have probably been in touch if I didn’t get this cold/virus thing that’s going around

before leaving for K the webcam image was a shocker. it was sunny at home, i wore a base layer under the pants but left anything with a hood or insulation at home. i wasn't buying it!
rutland was still warm and sunny but by access road temps were easily 10-degrees cooler, and place was damp and socked in.
this was the first non-beach-worthy day i'd been out since the ides of march.
by 3pm though the sun broke through - and with 5pm last chair there was time! there was still some nice cover on trails soon to lose their lift access.

Going to be a long summer. Anyone want to buy a mountain bike (or a waterski)?

Sorry to see that. Is that the right clavicle? I broke mine the very first time I went skiing (at Jiminy)

Much appreciated guys! Right side and I'm left-handed, so I've got that going for me. Broken both sides, but they were both over 30 years ago. Hopefully seeing the ortho tomorrow to come up with a plan (other than Advil and Tylenol).

Looking forward to more Killington pics.

Hah, we’re tied. I busted my left twice as a kid- in 2nd and 4th grades- then did the right in high school. Shit, I hope I’m not jinxing myself now. It’s been a long time since I broke a bone. Knock on wood.

Ouch that sucks. When I broke mine, the fairly standard plate+screw surgery had me back to low-key activities in a week, was able to ski a month later. Don't think I biked much since I didn't have a fat bike then but probably could have. Lots of rehab/strengthening exercises were required to get me fully back to normal, but they also said my break was particularly bad.
There's another style procedure I heard about it one of the fluidride mtb videos a while back, you can check it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmwpd3g25-0
It certainly sounds promising but I can only vouch for the plate+screw method (which was fine, but I'm lean and the screwheads can bother me on occasion still if I'm carrying a heavy pack or duffel).

Bummer about the bone breakage C, was hoping to see you smashing bumps at K this spring.

You should talk to this guy about what to do to get back in the game lorenzo-cleared-to-ride-in-warm-up

Speaking of K, wandered down for a visit last Saturday

After a couple of runs off the bubble, plate ice over the ground with a bit of loose "snow" here and there, I decided to take a look at the new lodge. Found the gang eating lunch, $25 burgers aren't their style but Rich said "Free" pass holder appreciation day lunch.

Did some Braille Bump skiing in the thick fog. Believe it or not the guy on the left is a Level 3 instructor and quite entertaining to ski and chat with. Lurks here as he figured I was a Mag after seeing my Praxis

I had the plate and screws removed. It was a super quick and easy surgery. Definitely worth it for me. That hardware was super visible and constantly feeling it while showering or with a pack was annoying to me.
