    Carolina started last year with a QB competition between draft classmates Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield.

    Neither are there today but they've signed the Red Rocket Andy Dalton to a 2 year deal to be the backup (read: starter for 12 games) to the TBD QB they find with the newly acquired #1 pick.
