Short wheel base with an automatic transmission. Transmission in overdrive. Dude just not paying attention, transmission down shifts from overdrive and spins them all season radials… add in a little one handed overcorrection as the slide starts, and before dude can put his coffee down, he done spun off the road.

Moved to the mountains from Florida and bought the ultimate mountain vehicle , a Jeep, and promptly put it into a snowbank. There were two Jeeps and a new Bronco all stuck off the side of the road this weekend on my way up to the ski area. Another sedan was in the same predicament, and surrounded by shovelers, blocked by a vehicle that didn't have it's hazards on on a blind curve. What a shitshow. Highly amusing.

Also amusing, I was working on a customer's new Jeep this week who told me they had bought it specifically for their road trips out west from Florida. It had a soft top/roof. WTF? I cannot think of a worse car to drive cross country.

When skiing midweek I like to ask little kids I see two questions
    1. Do you have the best [mom/dad/parents] in the galaxy for taking you skiing [on a school/pow] day?
    and
    2. What are you gonna do tonight to show how much you appreciate them?

Parents love it, and the answers can be hilarious. Yesterday was no exception.

When I asked two little guys what they were gonna do to show their mom some appreciation, the littlest (prob 3YO) said, quite enthusiastically

    “I pulled the fire alarm!”

    Which explained the noise…

    Things That Amuse You

    Portland weather headlines
    For example, seen today:
“Chance of Portland Snow Next Week Remains Uncertain”
You can be almost certain the local network news is building STORM TEAM COVERAGE around this
