hey nate, thanks for the question - a really good one.

Both the c132 and c113 are designed to have a sheet of VDS under the binding plate, to help minimize vibration transfering into your feet. I will review the copy on the site and make sure that is sufficiently clear.

Overall, the carbon skis will be built with paulownia & poplar wood cores, triaxial carbon, sidewall, and fiberglass mat tip and tail. With respect to the construction, my intent was to spec materials that provides different damping characteristics at different frequencies, so the construction itself should be as smooth-riding as any skis out there at the weight.

The shape will also really help mitigate negative feedback on windboard and the like as well, as the low profile rocker, essentially no camber, and large radius will also add to a very smooth riding ski as well.

Cheers! LMK if I missed something you were curious about!

In the 50/50 thread, people are posting that their 87s and 99s are coming with considerable camber, instead of flat like it says on the website. Just curious what's up and if this is going to be a consistent theme throughout the rest of the lineup.

    Thanks!

OP already addressed this in the 50-50 thread.

I would generally say that unweighted combined camber isn't super helpful, but I measured my pairs here to be 1cm combined for the R87, 8.5mm combined for the R99, and 6mm combined for the R120.

I will also update the picture posts earlier in the thread with this data too. Thanks for inquiring on this piece!

They turned out exactly how I wanted em too, and if anyone was looking for something different, please just let me know, more than happy to refund you. Cheers!

I saw that, but that doesn't answer my question about whether other models will be like that as well.

I'm mostly interested in the 113, website says flat for that also and I'm wondering whether it'll have camber or not.

    Hey man! Great question.

The 113 and 132 shapes are designed from new molds, so the camber is to spec. I will post screenshots of those rocker specs as soon as I open up my computer this week (recovering from shoulder surgery, currently 1 handed). The mold blocks were designed for the Fiberglass skis. Due to how the materials cure, the carbon versions may have a touch more splay than the Fiberglass builds, but I don’t expect them to be all that different.

Also, regarding the comp skis, I expect them to have between 20%-40% less camber than the AM skis (ie about 1mm less flat/weighted, and 2-3mm less base to base unweighted) due to denser materials specced.

    Right on, thanks Marshal

Oh man, that 132 looks quite nice. Not the banana peel effect of other R/R skis.

Yeah, holy moly I'd be all over those if I didn't already have that slot filled by Wren102ti's

I'm guessing the AM version isn't quite as much overlap with the ti's which charge HARD, but I get your point. [emoji23]

I essentially never buy new skis but I can't stop drooling over those 187 FL113s. Marshal or others - can you give a sense for what previous production skis these are modeled after or what skis you hope they will ski like? Apologies if I missed it earlier in the thread.

    Hey man!

So the intent with the 113 shape was really to bring back the directional charger skis, just with a touch of modern shaping (specifically getting a little drift from the tail to balance the surfy tip) with a construction that is super super smooth riding in mega-hardpack, but charges chopped up pow as well as it planes up in untracked snow.

The FL113 in particular is utilizing a shape most similar to the old thirteens, just with a smoother riding tail -- but my hope is that folks who loved Monster 108s, RC112's, LPRs, OG katanas, etc etc will be immediately in love with this ski too, as a suitable modern replacement.

The C113 will be a little more surfy than the FL113, since it is a more backcountry/softsnow biased construction -- and it designed for those that love big radius directional surfy powder skis that are subtly rockered.

I expect the production samples (C113, FL113, C132, FL132) to ship in the next ~3 weeks, and will post a seperate thread as soon as I have em in my hand as well!

C132 binding choice… what to do… I picked up some ATK FR14s for the occasion, but debating whether to CAST them, instead.

I think I might go with ATKs for mine. They won't see hard enough snow to make an alpine setup worthwhile (for me, that is).

My 200’s will get casts; suppose if they were primarily for touring and 190 I’d go with a lighter weight clamp.

    Similar conundrum here!

I expect they'll mostly be used for touring, but maybe a lucky resort day here or there...

I'm leaning towards tectons, but part of me wants to just put super light race bindings like trofeos on them... This has worked out well for my BG108 tours, but not sure how I would feel skiing those bindings in bounds or for cat skiing or whatever.

FR14/15/16 is my plan. Would like to use brakes though, anyone know if the brakes are impossible to bend?

Right now I'm thinking Trofeo plus or maybe Kuluar on my C132's. Better get it figured out soon cuz it aint too much longer before they show up! No plans for using them inbounds, got other boards for that
