I've been to the ice races in Georgetown with the guys running small block v8s in old beater jeeps with no mufflers and 1" spikes imbedded into the tires but I'm just taking about internal combustion engine bikes cuz they're way too loud to run around our quiet little burb without attracting a lot of unwanted attention.

It’s a beautiful day and the northern NM nat’l forests are going into closure tomorrow due to fire activity and danger, so I hopped on to take a spin on the twisty road that runs up to the ski area.


That’ll be the last time until it rains…or everything burns down.

Was riding the shit out of the 3 wheeler on Sunday afternoon in the sunshine and I'll be damned if I didn't run it out of gas. Walked back and got a gas and had one of my kids drive me over to put some gas in it. Got it started and idling, thanked him, and sent him on his way so he could get back on ticktock or whatever. Then it died. So I gave it a mighty tug and ya know what happened? God damned pull cord handle came off in my hand. Winning!

Ha. No kidding! I don’t know if I’ll actually try for an iron butt, but I’m 3k into a 12,000 mile/65 day trip right now. Riding to see a game at every MLB ballpark.

I did an iron butt once on my first day of riding for that year as an April Fools Day surprise. It didn't end well, and I'll never do one by choice again.
