Yeah not bad. Little scratchy underneath but I found some good turns out there. Tomorrow should be good too.
Anyone doing the skimo series thurs nights? Pretty fun, but my skills need work. There's one at marshall this weekend plus the backcountry film festival.

I found a snowshoe hare on my last run off griz. I wouldn't have noticed if it didn't move, but there it was hopping along like "oh no, people" and it was cute.
Thank you for listening to my TED Talk.

Glad to hear that you got out for some turns on the slopes stuck. That new snow is really trying to bury that coral reef. Fun skiing overall
It was brisk up there today. GDATB
Yeah, I've been hitting it hard a couple three times a week.
Yesterday was a good Snowpark cruising day for me.
I wish instead of spending money grooming Spartan (poorly) they did more hazard marking and reduction in the bowls. The nice steep part of East Bowl is all overgrown at the top. And there's deadfall everywhere!
Looks like there's gonna be more thinning all over TV though? Hell yeah.
Grooming on Spartan Headwall is wildly popular among skiers who like skiing Spartan ( a large contingent, which is good, since they aren't skiing something I like). What the patrol does as far as marking hazards, has nothing to do with the amount of diesel Brad is willing to pay for, to make the groomer skiers happy. Grooming Spartan also helps gapers get back to the base area after they ski Snow Park.
I should have gotten an earlier start. Tried to stick to places where I could see, griz chair laps were pretty good.
That was fun, but I guess the last 2 weeks of no snow meant everyone got all cought up on work, and it got skied pretty hard.
Met someone visiting and showed her around. It was fun, we sent it.

If anyone was thinking of skiing the Bowl today, yesterday LaVelle broke down, and was not expected to be repaired before the end of the season.
I was told a motor bearing burnt out. IDK why they can't just grind up some of the hamsters they use to power the thing to keep it lubed.
Also heard there was a wolverine sighted up there this year. Amazing! I guess one day, El Ceso/A Frame was closed to give it some space. If anyone was wondering why it was randomly closed one day. Whenever that was. Roar.
Snowbowl is 90% open!
Road Conditions: Plowed and sanded
LaValle Chair will be closed today-Open this week thru Sunday. If we get more snow next week, we will open one more weekend-use your coupons now, this Sunday could be the last day. Spring Hours Open at 10am, close at 4:30pm, half day 1pm. 3 for 2-ski for free!
Be sure to bring your harness and static line!
Good question…no sammy’s means one more weekend?
I spoke with Pat, shortly after La Velle opened today, he said they would have closed for the season today if they hadn't been able to run La Velle successfully at half capacity. Since it worked, the plan is Fri-Sun next weekend.
The weather report leads me to see a wind hammered reset, smoothing out the mountain, then cooking/freezing for two days before Friday when it will start to break loose in West Bowl around 11:30 am. Friday afternoon will be a corn and mush fest.
Looking forward to next season with an absolutely pointless new chair and the same broke-ass old ones that are actually necessary to get around. Fuck yes.
Where's the new chair going to be?
Hard for me to believe the M's are still hanging onto that place. They gotta be well past retirement age by now I would think.
