But, if I had a friend who was anti-vax weird before pandemic - I'm a bit less judgy but I'm keeping them at arms length. File under: kooks.

However, if I had friends who are now suddenly anti-vax with overt political reasoning - yeah, fuck off. Done.

This is the part I really don’t get. Who cares what their status is after all we’ve learned from Covid?

What we’ve learned is that when there is a surge, hospitals fill up stressing the healthcare system. If everyone were vaccinated, these surges would likely be a lot more manageable.

Yes, and not to mention that prior to the omicron variant being vaccinated clearly reduced your chances of getting Covid. Who's to say that won't be the case again with future variants? It's a matter of public health and that's why we should care whether or not others are vaxxed.

Yeah, WTF? Of course I judge people on their choices, especially choices that impact others and society as a whole. That's the criteria we should use to judge people.

Covid denial and refusal to mask should be equated to drunk driving. The two choices are so similar, and yet no one gets on Team Drive Drunk as an expression of tribalism and freedumb.

Taking it a step further, American society doesn't tolerate many completely harmless actions and behaviors. Walk around naked in public and you're getting arrested. The idea that potentially harmful decisions and behaviors should be respected is absurd.
