La Niña projections getting stronger. 87% chance for this winter.

    A good read:

They mostly use them to dislocate their shoulders.

I must be skiing wrong...I used old fashioned pole straps for at least 30 years and never once hurt my arm or shoulder from a pole strap. About half that time though I used strapless thumb breakers, and never broke a thumb either

Then I got smart (ish) and got releasable pole straps, win-win

And as much as I'd love for that to be true - IMO, predicting weather more than ~3 days out (especially non hi-pressure systems) seems like a fools errand.

But it doesn't seem to stop anyone - and if it turns out to be right they crow about how great their forecasting chops are, etc.
You know, like stopped clocks being right twice a day.

Indeed. Though like I said, I'm not sure there's anyone who would like it to be true and more than I.
I've been suffering withdrawals for months now, and I need some of that white powdered stuff to help me by!

I’ve skied with Jonesy for what, 8-9 years? Never once during that time has he predicted a shitty snow year.

That said, I’m a little troubled by Bobcat’s erotic interpretations of Jonesy’s weather maps…

Kind of reminded me of another person with inappropriate remarks.
