Have a friend in Maryland looking to buy her two college age boys some equipment. Is there a decent ski shop within an hour or two of Baltimore that can do boot fittings? And yes, I know, "tech talk jong."![]()

Spruce Mountain, Jay, ME, aka SpruceLoaf. If this doesn’t put a smile on your face then you should just quit sliding down hills.
For the jam band peeps … Orebolo, acoustic trio offshoot of Goose playing spruce peak arts center December 4th
Marc Chauvin posted his avalanche education schedule. Him along with Mark Synnott are the two I like in MWV. Maybe you guys can connect and fill a date.

I don't know if this helps, but the Google machine tells me that the Buckman's in Exton, PA is 1hr 59min away; the King of Prussia location says it's 2:15 (but I don't believe it). I know they've done some good work in the past on other peeps. I bring it up b/c this weekend is their annual tent sale. Over the years, I've bought a metric fuck ton of new and used gear for both me and the kiddos; everything from hats and mittens...to coats, pants, and layers...to skis and boots. Last year's score was Kastle MX98 for $175...but I also bought my daughter a decent jacket and snowpants for like $40-50 total.
Note: Rich folk live near both the Exton and KoP locations. Apparently, rich people need new gear every year, so there tends to be a lot of stuff being dumped.
EDIT to add: across the street from the Exton location is a World of Beer; it could make the commute back > than 1:59.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.
For anyone with young families looking for a family oriented ski club a club I used to belong to has open spots in North Conway. It is NOT maggot approved. There are rules to keep it family oriented. Not that they ban drinking or anything but pretty strict (weed use needs to be kept out of sight generally). If you want details shoot me a PM. It’s a really affordable way to stay in N Conway though.

Hope u guys see some white gold even if just a dusting sometime soon. Snow on the fall foliage can be one of the prettiest sites in nature. Hope all is well and the stoke is high for this season
always forward but never straight
Unfortunately, we're pretty much into full stick season. 'twas blustery over the weekend and most of the color is now on the ground.
Snow to the top of SB this morning- Guessing that's not close enough to BOB to start a new thread?
