We recognized each other at about 25 feet, as we got closer she had her arms out for a hug, but she started coughing. I jumped back to about 10 foot distance and put a mask on. She came unglued about my mask, said it was “disrespectful “. She admitted to running a fever so I increased my distance to 15 feet and told her about the free testing at the county health dept. that’s when she dropped the bomb....

    This last sounds like a lie. You don't have to wait, it's been explained in this very thread in great detail. Search JONG.

    Is this always the same troll with 100.000 alias or are they different trolls?

    They're different trolls with the same infection--or very close. The virus has a unique feature in that it reports back/checks in with the master incubator, which keeps its mutation rate low so they look the same. This has pros and cons: it helps the virus survive but it also makes it easier for the immune system to spot because there is never anything new introduced.

    not really; everything related to how long the antibodies stay in your system is literally all guessing at this point. You can’t say “oh these antibodies are going to last for 5 years!” When the virus itself hasn’t even been around for 5 years… sure those antibodies might fight off the original basic virus but clearly there’s multiple variants that are all scarier and more deadly than the previous ones so we should just constantly live in fear; amirite?

    Unfortunately there are many of them and they are not all trolls. What we are observing is a combination of the left hand side of the bell curve, a disregard for education (I’m going to be a pro skier, I don’t need to learn high school science and math, I’ll never use it), and a coordinated disinformation campaign. Toss in the feeling of being part of a special group where only they know the right answers and the rest of us are sheep and here we are.

    Not sure what the solution is, most likely it will be COVID wreaking havoc on the peer group. Could be Delta but it also could be Epsilon or Zeta which will surely come along. While a few will die, many times more will be saddled with medical debt they will be paying off for years. Hopefully the linger effects of the illness allow them to keep working in order to pay off the debt. Don’t want to be a leech on the system like immigrants and democrats.

My immune system has never had any problems fighting off the yearly flu or other viral infections in the past despite not getting a vaccine. I was never given a vaccine for chicken pox either and instead was just put into a daycare with other kids who had it, contracted it, fought it off and I’m fine today… same with Covid. Until the vaccines have been out for a couple years and the technology/newer science put into mRNA vaccines isn’t as new and we can account for why the various side effects are happening, it makes me hesitant.
    I don’t get the anger against you.

    If you survived the Rona why would you need an experimental vaccine

    Fucking science knowledge is weak these days.

    Interesting read. But not much data.
    =========
    How long does immunity last from being infected? From vaccination?

    Immunity from natural infection starts to decline after 6 to 8 months. We know that fully vaccinated people still have good immunity after a year—and probably longer.
    =========
    How can they claim the vax lasts a year or longer?
    The vax started last fall.

    I know antibodies lapse. Good friend got Rona over a year ago. Was AB positive last summer. Was AB negative last winter.

    Well there are indications the vaccine is helping clear up long term Covid symptoms. Perhaps it’d cure your Covid caused tinnitus.

    Incorrect. Moderna published the results of their clinical trials almost exactly a year ago (followed by Pfizer in August), so people in those studies were jabbed more than a year ago. Trials began in March 2020, I believe.

    The good news so far is that, unlike the situation for the common cold, we have now developed multiple COVID-19 vaccines. The evidence continues to suggest that acquired immunity from vaccines still offers substantial protection against the new variants now circulating around the globe.
