I see quite a few similarly equipped trucks(?) headed to the wilds of the San Juan Islands every Thursday and Friday . I can only think of one road here that I wouldn't drive a Prius on, they chipsealed the last few dirt roads a few years ago. I don't know what kind of expedition they're going on, maybe someplace wild untouched by man, like Roche Harbor.

This is what I don't understand, the little extra amount I see bolted on most vehicles would not help them. The other thing I see is no locks. You leave a can of gas on the side of your truck, will be hard pressed in the best neighborhood to keep it long. Shit, the amount of porch theft, surprised any of this shit stays on long.

Those small square Rotopax are normally 1.75gal. Not much good on an overloaded broverlander setup. Also, they're fuckin expensive no matter what size you want.

Of course, one would not scuff one's white loafers doing such pedestrian tasks.

Way too useful to be GOTOS. In fact, it should be negative GOTOS points but you’d never see it. Maybe maybe if there were an exterior mount kit. The ladder is so confusing to me. Even a short person can reach the roof of a RAV4. And now you can't open the hatch. I think a gas tank is preventing opening the rear door? I think even people who know zero about offroad vehicles think this is dumb.

What do you think is more offroad capable? A stock-ish 4runner or a RAV4 "adventure"?
