Yup, my brothers BIL is a COVID long hauler. I wrote about him back in December, AdironRider said he was “not fucked” because he did not die. Whatever...

Anyway, he was a cop, very near retirement. Even though he caught COVID due to his own stupidity, the police ruled it as line-of-duty, so his retirement pay will be roughly doubled. Sweet deal I guess, even though he struggles to breath. Hopefully he considers that winning...

The US 7 day case count is now the lowest it has been since March 31, 2020, when testing was barely even available. And that's with all these restrictions being lifted over the past month and with variants that are 40-60% more contagious. Let's hope it continues.

I've seen a few stories about New York's "Excelsior Pass" which is the nation's first vaccine passport. It's basically an app on your phone with a QR code proving you're vaccinated. Not sure it's the perfect solution, but it seems like a good start.
