I am holding out hope that this will be the big, over-delivering storm we never got this season.

    But it won’t be.

Same here, I’m meeting high school buddies at Killington on Friday. Haven’t seen these guys since 1983, fresh snow would make for some laughs

I wonder if those were for rainfall what it would say. I feel like the late March precip fell as rain rather than snow this season. New normal.

Saturday is Underground 80s day at Cannon. Fast times.

It makes for nicer skiing, though.

The descent on the better-covered trail was nice, but I was trying to avoid skinning up the steeper portion. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to avoid carrying my skis.Click image for larger version.

Is there any snow left on the top of Greylock? Is any of it skiable? Thinking of finishing my NE peak summits this next week and try to ski it if there's still any skiable snow. No skiing in CT and RI though....

Nice sunrise yesterday to start the day. Wind blew like a motherfucker all day long winholding the upper mountain lifts. 58º early left little desire to ski deep mush in the wind.

Tuesday was sunny but the grinch of snow didn't cycle and was grippy in a lot of areas. Went home to rewax and still wasn't great.

Whiteface appears to be getting more than the maps may suggest based on some webcam checking around the area. Would be nice if Saturday is warm...I think it could be...maybe get a late start...

Nice effort. That runout takes forever on skis, I can’t imagine walking it out.

The road is melted out and dry so you can park right at the proper trailhead. At a brisk pace it wasn’t too bad.
