Ha, I wish... if I lived in BC, I'd already have one on order. For now though, the Druid is handling things just fine here in measly Colorado.

yah.... why wouldn't I be able to?? has there been some massive world event that has shut manufacturing yet forced people to bike?? pfftt... never...

I know that will be he biggest issue. The good part of it is that i by no means "need" a new bike, just would like one. Gen1 Bronson is showing it's age but I should get some good value out of it.

I posted this in another thread too, but this just happened a few days ago. Not sure if the just-turned-7-year-old is making his shorts tight or not, but I am extremely jealous of my kid right now. Can you imagine having a dropper when you were 7?

I’m sure as hell still milking mine after so many years!

    CC frame
    -1.5 degree works angleset
Spēd Precision Maul TR carbon wheelset
X01 11 speed with brand new Garbaruk 10-46
Pike DPA fork (Charger 1 RCT3) running 130/160 travel
Monarch Plus Debonair RC3 with rebuilt damper and custom tune
    RWC needle bearing kit
RWC stainless ACB BB with RF Turbine crankset and WT Oval 30t
    XT brakeset
    SC 760mm Carbon Bars

It’s kinda feeling like Ichiro Suzuki in his latter years ... cagey old vet that doesn’t hit as hard as all the new young guns, but still way more spry nimble and lightweight than most of them, and still hits consistently in any ballpark. And most importantly still in play because you can’t get a better value on the free agent market due to lack of availability!

    haha amazing analogy.

I've for sure dumped more cash into it at his point to make it better but it always feels cramped to me. When i look at the reach numbers of new bikes this thing is like a small/medium in modern geo so really i just should have went with an XL frame.

It has Enve wheels, X01 eagle 12, RSC brakes and a fair amount of other stuff that i will most likely just transfer to a new bike. If i went new Bronson (or other 27.5") these wheels would be coming with.... which is tempting.

Website tells me I’m a size 2 but would like to discuss at some point here or via PM.

YT released limited edition Blaze versions of the Izzo, Jeffsy and Capra yesterday. Downhill-oriented, mid-level build versions that will appeal to the comment section/message board crowd who always want more X vs Y.

The Izzo Blaze seems to have provided the main changes/upgrades these users were making and many seemed to be wanting. It goes .5deg slacker, a big longer reach/wheelbase and 5mm lower on the BB:

    - Rear Lockout removed
    - Forecaster 2.35 swapped for Minion DHRII 2.4
    - Fox 34 Perf Elite swapped for Pike Ultimate
    - Float DPS Perf Elite swapped for RS Deluxe Ultimate
    - SRAM G2 RS upgraded to G2 RSC
    - DT M1700 downgraded to M1900

Not a bad looker and a great spec for $3999, but I'm happy with my reg Pro Race and 3+lbs of savings.

Edit - unfortunately sold out yesterday; only 250 of each...

That thing looks sweet. I'd be all over it if I didn't have a spur on order.

Super sweet to you hear everyone complaining that they haven't been able to ride their YT's for 6 months due to outstanding warranty claims.
Couldn't pay me to ride one of those things here in Canada.

I just wonder how much overlap with Jeffsy...I mean, the whole point was to be fast and efficient...but still capable...

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

Agreed. I also have a Spur on order, and keep having discussions with a buddy who thinks I should basically “Blaze” it with a longer travel fork and bigger tires.

For me I think it comes down to a small distinction in the bike’s place in my garage. If I was going to only have one bike, I’d want something like this new Izzo build. But instead I want something to complement my Enduro, and not really overlap at all. I don’t want to have a hard time deciding which bike I want to take out on any given day. And for that, the og Izzo or stock Spur feel like they make more sense.

Or maybe I’ll end up with a Pike and Minions on my Spur. Who knows?

I'm fairly positive I'll end up with a pike and minions on my spur. Just because I want a bike that goes uphill nicely doesn't mean I'm gonna tiptoe back down.

I think the Ranger frame I just got will end up dressed like this too. A pissed off XC bike is the description I heard that sounded fun!

Not quite a Spur...but for some reason, it really speaks to me.

Interesting, if I hadn't just bought a 2021 stumpjumper, may have been an option.

It's funny to see the comment on PB: heavy (yes), chainstays too long (maybe), not progressive enough (possibly), too expensive (sure). And I'm like: It looks fantastic: gimme!!!!

The opposite of Ibis (for me): rides great (yep), good company (check), light weight (indeed), looks good (not even a little).

I'm vain like that...in addition to riding well and fitting my needs, if I'm spending $$$$$$, it need to look FANTASTIC.

    Cue: Transition Spur.

EDIT to add: "can I actually get it" should be on the list.
