    olympics. who and where?

I just pulled the trigger for 3 seats (me + 2 kids) at the final game of female hockey in turin (evening of February 20th). It will be at 1.5 h driving from home, and it will prolly be my last lifetime chance to see olympics so close. Who else will be at the olympics, and when?

I'm not lucky enough to be there but I'll definitely be watching the game you're going to - should be Canada versus the US of A...excellent teams, both.

I love watching those two women's teams. Don't get me wrong, I love the speed and crush of the men (btw - I'll take Canada for Gold in men's and women's), but women's hockey at the elite level is real "pure hockey" and pretty f-ing thrilling to watch.

If I was there I'd try to get some hockey and speed-skating tickets...and skiing, obviously.
Biathlon is pretty cool - how can they be so accurate when their heart rates are sky-high?! I think it would be better to see on TV than in person, though.
Cross-country skiing...sh*t, I'd love to watch any winter event except figure skating.

After being in Italy last winter, I was trying to make it happen again this winter to catch the games. Flights to Milan were exceptionally cheap, tickets are still available for most events, and I imagine skiing will be pretty decent, since most people will be at the events leaving the rest of the areas open.

But alas, my work schedule won't allow it during the games, maybe when they are in whistler.

I'll be there. Flying into Nice on the 12th. Staying in Aosta from the 14th through the 21st. I've got tickets to the Men's super-G and GS, men's USA vs. Slovenia and women's semi-final hockey.
    Living vicariously through myself.

Canada and USA. The US had the canadians number for quite a few years, but Canada just won the four nations cup (US took silver)

My brother is thinking of taking his girlfriend to the Sweden-Latvia and Finland-Czech Republic Men's hockey games, but he can't get accommodation - there are no hotels available in Torino!

verb - is there any way you can get somewhere to watch the downhill, even through binoculars, without having to get a bunch of credentials?
