PG, don't take this the wrong way, but I felt your contributions to the Sea to Sky cable discussion were more insightful. I really enjoy your opinions, but I guess I've come to expect a bit more out of the box thinking from you.
Btw, the dividend was suspended in Mar 2019.

^Haha, I was just thinking the same thing. Where's the PG super-breakdown on this shit?
PG's taking some sort perverse pleasure in seeing this thing tank and unfortunately he's letting his emotions cloud his investigative work.
This is not what we've come to expect.

You never know the way the winds blow. Ha ha! Sorry - I'm a real bore when it comes to finance. I've had some exciting times but as of late, just playing it safe. Real safe. I'm the last person with finance insight right now (which you probably already gathered from my posts).
I guess the chart even fooled me cause the low on that picture is actually $74.22.
Fascinating times. Chaos actually.

When I was 18, there was this guy I worked with that kept inviting me to his pals gold bullion bar ponzi meetups. (I never bought in. It was all very creepy and didn't make sense.) But it was really a thing back then.
Anyone else come from that era of MLM gone mad with dreams of mega riches from ... selling water filters or buying gold bars?
I know a guy that got mega rich being the first in his city to start a water bottle business. His previous enterprise was a convenience store. I think he was 22 years old managing his own 24/7 store. He got fired where I worked and went full time bottled water. He knew what was coming down the pipe with that trend.
Back to Gamestop. I just found this really interesting from their 10K in 2018:
-------------------------------------------
Risks Related to Our Business
- Economic conditions in the U.S. and in certain international markets could adversely affect demand for the products we sell.
- If we fail to keep pace with changing industry technology and consumer preferences, we will be at a competitive disadvantage.
- Pressure from our competitors may force us to reduce our prices or increase spending, which could decrease our profitability.
- We have international retail operations in Australia, Canada and Europe. Because release schedules for hardware and software introduction in these markets can sometimes differ ...
We are also subject to a number of other factors that may affect our current or future international operations. These include:
• economic downturns, specifically in the regions in which we operate;
• currency exchange rate fluctuations;
• international incidents;
• natural disasters;
• government instability; and
• competitors entering our current and potential markets.
Our business, like that of many retailers, is seasonal, with the major portion of our sales and operating profit realized during the fourth fiscal quarter, which includes the holiday selling season. During fiscal 2018, we generated approximately 37% of our sales during the fourth quarter. Any adverse trend in sales during the holiday selling season could lower our results of operations for the fourth quarter and the entire fiscal year
-------------------------------------------
Their sales seem to be holding the line until 2020. So if they can weather this storm, they might be able to cut costs, renegotiate leases and restore to posting a profit. They are into more than just hardware and resale.
We operate e-commerce sites under the brand names of GameStop, EB Games, Micromania and ThinkGeek. Our video game brands stores sell various types of digital products, including downloadable content, network points cards, prepaid digital, prepaid subscription cards and digitally downloadable software and also sell collectible products.
...
Our segments also include 103 pop culture themed stores selling collectibles, apparel, gadgets, electronics, toys and other retail products for technology enthusiasts and general consumers, with 62 collectibles stores in international markets operating under the Zing Pop Culture brand and 41 stores in the United States operating under the ThinkGeek brand. Our video game brands also include Game InformerTM (“Game Informer”) magazine, the world's leading print and digital video game publication.
Our former Technology Brands segment had been comprised of Spring Mobile, Simply Mac and Cricket Wireless branded stores ("Cricket Wireless"). Cricket Wireless was sold in January 2018 and Spring Mobile was sold in January 2019. Simply Mac and the historical results of Cricket Wireless are reported in the United States segment in this Annual Report. The historical results of Spring Mobile, including the gain on sale, are reported as discontinued operations for all periods presented in this Annual Report. Simply Mac operates 43 Simply Mac© branded stores which sell Apple products, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones and related accessories and other consumer electronic products.
Kids love stopping at stores on the way home from school. It was the video game parlor when I was a teen. Now it is a store, with game trials and big ticket items and more. I think there is a market for that. It looks like they are trying to do too much. Very complex product offering. Huge complex issues with managing product breadth and depth like that. They will have to focus.
There is potential there.

Makes you wonder. Are meme stocks a new scheme to basically get people to pump up penny stocks? Guess I don't care. Might be fun to play. No worse than buying losing Powerball tix every time.

Price targets look to be in your favor, heh.
I probably should’ve sold BBBY close to the peak of the last week. But, I want to own it long and pay no taxes. In hindsight a sell in the 50’s would’ve been better but I’d told myself I was holding till $60. At least now that it’s settled back close to where it was I don’t have to worry about it dragging down gains by my other stuff.
Made the last payment on our fifth wheel a bit ago, wife agrees we put half the payment into the market monthly. Added $200 in funds last night, still trying to figure out what to put it in. I’m leaning towards waiting to see what Ford has to say earnings wise on Thursday, hoping for a dip and pick up 20 shares. If no dip I may grab another share of AAPL, a few of EPD, and a couple of GLUU.
Or, I may just put the $200 in one of the Vanguard funds.

I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.
"Happiest years of my life were earning < $8.00 and hour, collecting unemployment every spring and fall, no car, no debt and no responsibilities. 1984-1990 Park City UT"
That's the stuff puregravity,
Any interest in putting together a screenplay about your water bottle selling friend? TR and I are booking meetings to pitch economic triumph stories of the little man and web mob to the studios all week.
I still call it The Jake.
I think you're onto something here and that's the beauty of losses stuckie. You can deduct them against gains and carry forward for 20 years.
It too bad you can't sell your losses to another person like Lee Lau or TahoeJ who has gains.
I'd like to cover this angle in the film. We could send a crew up to your place if that's ok?

I figured maybe I can get $350 up to $360 and then turn it into an IRA or some shit. I only bought 1 single GameStonk. Counting on some other cheap shit to offset it in the next week or so. Then I can put a whopper away for retirement, because yeah, it basically playing scratchers. If there wasn't a pandemic, I'd have long since spent that $350 on a social/dating life.
Lol, retirement. Pretty sure my retirement plan is a tree well. [emoji1326]♂️
Stuck, have you considered selling plasma, or perhaps a kidney and turning it into a bit of a nest egg?

I talked to a guy yesterday who made his first down payment on a house in Ballard by being a bartender the days the commercial fishermen would roll in from Alaska, stuffed to the gills (pun) with spending cash and looking for a place to convert it into copious amounts of booze.
While Seattle may not be affordable anymore I'm sure you can position yourself to take advantage of those hard working tradesman with loads of scratch just looking to blow it on a good time when their ship comes into port. Or the oil well gets tapped.
Either way, you get it. Sell a good time to people looking for it. Profit.
I still call it The Jake.
I see where you're going Bmills, but be careful with the whole escort thing stuckie.
I just read this today.
