If they could combine the two looks they'd have something.

They have dress shirts with buttons and patches and no pocket flaps, but they're not quite the classic outside the PNW that the Marlboro Man style is.

ProTip: A bay leaf in the pocket will keep them fresh over the summer after spring roundup. Otherwise, you have to ride up to the High Country and lay them out in the sun on corn snow.

The board shirts are a classic since at least 1962. Mickey Dora would drink all your beer and kick your ass all over Malibu in a Pendleton board shirt, the only article of clothing he actually owned.

I bought a couple shirts from Wool and Prince last year. One of the Bishop (founders of Pendleton) grand-kid's business.

Softer (merino) and more updated looks & cuts than Pendleton. Nice quality stuff.

Actually, not thinking about it, going to do it. Just need to decide on a pattern. Leaning toward no hanging tabs since they seem like they’d be annoying when actually using it as a blanket. Never thought I’d be a blanket/tapestry hanging kind of guy but here we are..

Nice. Where'd you get the hanger hardware (not sure what you call that)?

One of the nicer options I found. Very basic design, a bit of a bitch to get the blanket in there just right with 1 set of hands. Would be pretty easy to replicate if you've got the time and tools on hand, I have neither so cha-ching.

I hung one behind the couch facing my tv and speakers to deaden the awful acoustics in my living room with a vaulted ceiling.

My picture framer showed me a simple technique to hang it with a 1x2 and some fishing line that hides most of the hardware.

Well let's see some pics of how it works, Benny. I'm thinking about doing the same thing here for the same reason, I'm looking for tips/ideas. Was also thinking about hanging some acoustical panels behind it/them (I might put up a couple things, this place is so acoustically bright and reflective it could use some help)

Kind of hard to show in a photo, unless I take it down, and that ain't happening. What you do is get a strip of wood about an inch wide and half inch thick, (not really a 1x2), cut it to the length of the carpet or whatever you're hanging, drill holes about every 4-6 inches along the wood strip, large enough to thread heavy fishing line through, and, using a large needle, thread the line through the holes and into the carpet, making a series of loops that attach the strip of wood to the upper edge of the thing you want to hang. Then attach a few eye thingies to the wood strip and hang on wall using heavy picture frame hangers. The only thing exposed are the picture frame hangers. I tried to hide them, but that didn't work, because, well, gravity if you hang the carpet too high. You can see where the line is stressing the carpet at the points it is threaded in and out, a bit, so, the closer the holes are drilled would probably help that, but, obviously, it's much more invisible than the other method shown. It does damage the carpet a little bit, I suppose, with the threading, but, not that bad.

We hung a quilt by attaching velcro to a couple of 1x2's--one for the top, one for the bottom, attaching the wood to the wall, sewing velcro to the quilt.

That would work for a lighter quilt. I thought of it. But a 4x6 carpet and larger is pretty heavy. The quilt would probably bring some good acoustic help, though. Hmmmmm...

I don't have a cool rug to hang, but like the idea. Adding that I've been using these for hanging larger items. Work perfectly and would solve the hanging problem in Bennie's solution

Cleats are awesome, highly recommend for hanging all sorts of shit. You can just use two pieces of wood with opposite angles cut in them, too, if you have something like a tablesaw, or a little patience.

A full width strip of extra sticky velcro, sewn to the fabric will hold quite a lot. You could attach the sides in addition to the top and bottom for a heavy piece. The velcro would be stronger than the picture hangers.
