Thank you to everyone who wished him and us well but sometimes it just is what it is. He did put up a good fight and in his own words, "I Don't want to be no fucking rutabaga" and probably would have i they kept pushing. He will be sorely missed.

    Stay safe everyone!

Thank you all so much. We truly appreciate it. ECRC delivers on all fronts.

Now we need the shit done and get back to sliding on snow. Though, it will likely be 21/22 before we make meaningful turns again I'm afraid.

Jumping on the vibes train PRSB. My FIL was also born on PHD but in 1928. He passed a few years ago. Navy man.

In the military, we used to describe a battle handoff as one unit taking over for another...pretty complex operation if in contact. The Brits kept giggling when it was mentioned and the Yanks (pun intended) finally figgered out why. It's now called a battle handover.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

    Condolences, prs.

On another note, this places Smuggs firmly between Magic and The Hermitage with mid-day grooming.

What happens during the midday break? Everyone goes to their cars?

My wife has been arguing for years to bring back the noon groom.

I mean, the amount of injuries as a result of joeys skiing into a groomer can't be that high can it?

I wonder why they decided to start this year? Anticipating bigger crowds or trying to thin the herd or what?

Second thought on the Smuggs mid-day grooming: Strategy to split the visitor traffic. Some folks motivated to ski the morning and then bail while others choose the afternoon shift? Wonder how long they keep this schedule up.
