I do not understand this one, but ESPN has stopped linking to their game recaps from the boxscore/"gamecast". The recap is just the article about the game, and it used to always be linked there. So after I check out the overall scoreboard, I would click on specific games I was interested in to see what the stats said. Then if there was something about the game that I wanted to know more about, I would read the recap/article. But that isn't linked there anymore. Which is totally bizarre. And mildly annoying.

I thought I noticed this but then just figured it was me. Yes, this is stupid.

Find a new doc. (hard to believe he's not taking any insurance, maybe just not your insurance? Perhaps your insurance company booted him off their panel and "not taking insurance" is how he's phrasing it? Or he's doing concierge medicine for the rich and famous who pay cash. Do they have those in Joisey?)

I'm not surprised. Getting money from a gazillion insurances is a byzantine nightmare. I watch my wife as a sole proprietor try to get money from insurance and it easily consumes more time than she spends counseling a patient. Easier for them to just collect from you. The system sucks for people who can't self insure.

Got it. So he takes insurance but puts the patient on the hook for claim denials or underpayment. Definitely sucks. The doctor has, or should have. the expertise to deal with claim denials and the like. The patient doesn't. IMO patients should never be stuck in the middle between insurers and doctors. But then we should get rid of fee-for-service medicine and the problem will go away, along with the time and expense doctors and hospitals spend dealing with insurance companies.

No, concierge docs don't take insurance, but most will submit a claim for you. You pay the Doc, the Doc files for you, insurance pays you whatever they'll pay directly.

What I noticed is it opens a new window on top of the open window on my mac. I could close it and the window I was on before is still there. I turned off wifi, deleted flash, turned on my VPN and it hasn't popped up since then. So far.
