It'd be pretty cool to be up there watching the fires be (hopefully) mostly extinguished.

Satellite projection shows more moisture streaming from the South on up there.
What is the current status on the Fires? Is the snow doing it's job? Unfortunately The sierra is sunny and bone bry. The fores are still going. But it is getting cold

Promise to post more information than bitching.![]()
Snotel showing 12-15 inches for snow depth (not SWE) in most of the burn areas. Sure localized amounts are higher but pretty dang sweet! Probably 7-8 inches on the mtn here in breck.
About 9" in my yard here in Montrose!
Gonna be a fun drive to Denver later today...

The Red Feather Lakes area reported 24" this morning. Hopefully the fires are out, or damn close.

Affirmative. I'll be back in the general northwest quadrant of the country in a few years, but from a career/experience standpoint, the move to CO makes a lot of sense. Plus, I need some high altitude sun to deal with the mosscrack I've developed after 3 years in the sodden Cascade foothills. I will miss the really short winter days up here though.
I'll also be living somewhere that should experience some interesting weather, since this is the era of WFW (work from wherever).
